To request a reassessment in a job evaluation, the employer and/or employee must complete a reassessment request form that can be found on the job evaluation website. You can seek assistance from a union representative, supervisor, and regional job evaluation teams in preparing the request. A clear written justification must be provided for the request for reassessment. It must state what changes have occurred in the job since the job was last evaluated or what job requirements are considered to have been underestimated in the previous evaluation.

Application for job reassessment
You can apply for a reassessment request here on the website. A job evaluation specialist at the Job Evaluation Project Office will process your request and it will ultimately be submitted to the appropriate committee.
2. What supporting documents need to be submitted?
For a request to be considered valid, it must be followed;
- Original job description (on which the previous assessment was based)
- New job description, dated and signed by the manager
- A completed questionnaire that can be filled out below.
Please note that if you do not have access to your job description, the original or updated one, the form below will send a request to your manager requesting these supporting documents. It is important that the email addresses in the application are correct and active.
3. What is being assessed?
If a reassessment is requested, it may result in the assessment for the job being revised in its entirety. Such a review may result in changes to the assessment of other aspects that are not commented on. All reassessment requests are reviewed in the context of assessments of other jobs. Requests with insufficient justification and documentation will be rejected and the parties involved will be advised of the deficiencies in the request.
4. What is the career path?
As soon as you submit the request and questionnaire below, the following will happen:
- Job evaluation consultants inform your union representative about the request. Therefore, it is important that you select the correct union on the form. The municipality is also informed about the reevaluation request, so it is again important to select the correct municipality as well.
- Once a job evaluation specialist has prepared a proposal, it is submitted to the job evaluation committee/executive committee for processing and approval.
- The committee's findings are then sent to the union and the human resources manager of the department/municipality, who inform the employee(s) and the relevant party of the findings.
5. What are the effects?
A reassessment can result in an increase, decrease or an unchanged result. An increase in the assessment is effective from the time the reassessment was applied for and the relevant documents were submitted to the job evaluation consultant. If a reassessment results in a decrease in the assessment, this does not result in a decrease for those already in the job, but new employees will be paid according to the new assessment result.
It is important to allow yourself plenty of time to answer the questionnaire and the reassessment request.
We recommend using a computer to respond, but the form works on all devices. You can choose to save and continue later. If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to send us a message here on the website. It is better to use the “back” and “next page” buttons below the form rather than “back” and “forward” on a browser.
