The Equal Pay Agency is working on the development of a value assessment system in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs and a steering committee composed of social partners.

The project involves the development of a national valuation system, a detailed analysis of selected jobs and their evaluation based on the system's criteria. The system is intended to achieve goals of equal pay, quality of public services and policy-oriented human resource management.

The Equal Pay Agency is therefore looking for interested people for temporary positions in all aspects of the project. Everything from the development of analytical tools, job analyses, data processing, the development of an evaluation system and job evaluation, as well as communication and education on equal pay issues, job valuation and other related matters.

  • University education that is useful in work, including in the fields of social sciences, psychology, statistics, computer science, and educational sciences.
  • Skills in analyzing data and information, as well as prioritizing them.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good communication skills and experience in teamwork where diverse perspectives are taken into account when solving problems.
  • Skills and interest in working on projects related to equal pay and/or equality issues.
  • Experience in jobs that require initiative and independence in work methods.
  • Precise and disciplined work methods.
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially for working in a team.
  • Good Icelandic and English skills.
  • Good computer skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.

Salaries are according to the collective agreement between the City of Reykjavík and the relevant union.

The Equal Pay Agency is a partnership owned by Reykjavíkbogur and the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities, whose role is to work towards equal pay at the local authority level in this country through the use of job evaluation systems.
